 ‘Tis the Season...

We are now collecting for our annual Christmas Stocking Drive for the local shelter dogs and cats!

Christmas is coming and we are preparing to Deck the Paws again! Santa’s elves at Rescue Me WV want to spread some joy and cheer to the homeless dogs and cats that are at our local facilities... But we need your help.

So please join us for our Stuff a Stocking for a Shelter Animal. Previous years have been so successful because of all of you! And we know this year will be no different.

We will hang Christmas stockings at:
Berkeley County Animal Control,
Berkeley County Humane Society,
Jefferson County Animal Control,
Animal Welfare Society of Jefferson County,
Morgan County Animal Control,
and the Humane Society of Morgan County WV

We fill approx 145 stockings and several Santa sacks for the cat rooms.

How you can participate:

Check out the stocking Amazon wishlist. Pick out and purchase items you select from the list. Once order is placed, the items will be shipped directly to us and then will be used to stuff stockings.

Our HQ is located at 59 East Road. Martinsburg for drop offs.

Here comes Santa Paws.. here comes Santa Paws.. right down HQ way. The holiday season is quickly rounding the corner. 

To celebrate and gear up for Christmas, we are hosting our annual Photos with Santa at the HQ.

We are excited to have Erica Danile Photography back as our photographer this year. Erica is a pawsome professional, who is loads of fun, and has the biggest heart for animals. 

So bring your 4 legged, bring your 2 legged, and bring yourself to meet Jolly Old St. Nick.

Cost is a donation of $15 to the rescue for the professional photos. You will receive your digital photos thru email in a week or two after the event.

•  Santa will be passing out treats and surprises to every child (furry or human) who visits.
•  Our ResQ shop will be open if you want to snag some T-shirts, hoodies, or merch for someone on your Christmas list.
• We will also be accepting donations of items for our Annual Christmas Stuff a Stocking for the shelter animals. Toys. Treats. Canned food, etc. All items will be used to stuff stockings for the homeless dogs and cats at our local area shelters and Animal Control facilities.

We will start the quarter auction at 1pm

Extra paddles will also be available for $5 each or 5 for $20

They are limited and will be sold until sold out.

 A quarter auction is a fundraiser that combines elements of a raffle & auction.

Here's how it works: 

• Purchase a paddle: Participants buy a numbered paddle for a $10 donation. Paddles are like raffle tickets, and if a participant's paddle is drawn, they win. 
• View items: Before the auction
• Bid on items: When the auction begins, an announcer describes the item up for bid and how many quarters are needed to bid. Participants put the required number of quarters in a bowl on their table and raise their paddle. 
• Draw a winner: The announcer draws a number from a bucket of poker chips that match the paddles. If the number matches a raised paddle, the participant wins the item. If the number doesn't match a raised paddle, the announcer draws another number. 
• Repeat: The process repeats for each item.
