Foster & Foster to Adopt Application

Prince was pulled from Humane Society. He was very thin and had very dry skin. 

Age: 9 years old  

Breed: Miniature Pinscher

Sex:  Male

Size: 9 lbs   

Housetrained: yes    

Cats: yes, foster mom had 7 cats!                                       

Dogs: slow introductions to respectful pet friends. 

Kids: no                                          

Activity/Energy Level: low energy

Likes: sniffing, naps next to his people, cuddles, and good food

Health: He does have dry skin resulting from thyroid issues which will require medication for the rest of his life (2x per day pill that he eats easily with food). He also has some osteo-arthritis that is managed with a monthly medication.

Miniature pinschers are known for their strong personalities, and Prince is no exception. They are also one of the most loving and loyal dog breeds and make great companions. Prince will bond to the people he chooses and can be protective of the person he is with.

Jake is available and looking for a furever home. Jake is very cuddly and affectionate. He loves to please!

Age: 2 years

Breed: Pit mix

Sex:  male

Size: 50 lbs

Housetrained:  He goes out regularly to go to the bathroom and sometimes rings the bells on the door to let foster mom know he has to go out. Working on crate training. He does fine in the crate when there are people around.

Cats: unsure                               

Dogs: slow introduction recommended

Kids: He seems to get along with people, both children and adults.                                 

Activity/Energy Level: He is a quick learner. In just a few weeks  he has learned to stay, place, gentle, hug, and sit commands. If commanded properly, he will wait to eat, leave the crate, and exit the door to go outside until given the command okay. He is work in progress with distractions, but he will do well with continued training. He does well on the leash and listens when told with a pfsst sound and tug on the leash to slow down if walking to far ahead or pulling. 

Likes:  He especially likes his squeaky toys, but they need to be durable.  He is good in the car and does like to for rides and long walks.

Chip was saved the day he was going to get Euthanized. We pulled him and have him in a foster only home. Chip had a mass removed and we confirmed its cancer. He is very sweet.

We are looking for a foster to adopt (adoptive) family for this pair. They are in a temp foster home. We pulled them from Animal Control. 

We think Finn (tan and white) is about a year old. And Teddy is about 2 years old.  We would like to keep them together. 

Age: Fin is about 1 yo and Teddy is about 2 yo

Size: Fin is about 17 lbs and Teddy is about 13 lbs

Activity/Energy Level: Fin loves to play and run and Teddy is more low energy

Likes:  They both love treats, people, snow, toys, and Teddy loves naps.
