We do all of our adoptions as foster to adopt. After application is complete RMWV will do a background check and a home check. Once approved the dog would come home with you for for several weeks (or months if needed) for a trial period. This is to give the dog and you time to settle in together and make sure it’s going to be a good fit. If all works out, once the trial run is over, adoption will be finalized.
Vetting and supplies will be covered while under foster care. Foster will have first chance to adopt once he is ready if they choose.
Teena is ready for her furever home!
Adoptable Teena is still waiting on her furever family.
Our hearts ache for her. She spent many months at Animal Control. Then we pulled her and she has been in a wonderful foster home since May 2023. But she has been available with us and looking for a furever family for about 7 months now, and it hasn’t happened for her.
Teena is approx 15 months old now and 50 pounds. She’s fully vetted. She is house trained and crate trained.
She is super happy and loves life. She is curious about everything and sometimes uncertain in new situations, but quickly finds the fun.
She loves her people and fur siblings and wants to be with them all the time. She even gets along well the cat. She gets overly excited meeting new people and canine friends and does best with slow introductions. But once she knows them, she is great with all.
She loves to play. Given her age and excitement about life, she can get a little over exuberant. She would do well with an active family that likes to walk, run, or hike and has a fenced-in yard to allow her to run and use up some of her energy. She loves to play ball. *She needs a fenced yard.
She is food motivated and very smart. She has learned numerous commands.
She loves to ride in the car.
She walks well on a leash but can get strong at times.
She would love to have a permanent family that can continue to show her all the fun things in life and give her lots of patience and love. She is an amazing girl who deserves an amazing furever home.

Hi friends, Tucker here!
The time has come…
Cindy Lou & I are looking for our forever home together. Could that be you?
Here’s a little bit about the both of us:
We are a bonded pair, approx. 8 years old. We have been fully vetted.
I’m the bestest boy. I listen extremely well and I know basic commands. I love to play and chase my tail. My big feet get in the way sometimes, but I love to dance and get extremely excited when you come home.
I am potty trained. In fact, I will stare you down when it's time to go potty. I really can't go more than five hours without a potty break tho, so I would love for somebody not to be gone so long .
I love getting affection and being told how much of a good boy I am.
Don't let my missing fur scare you away! I’ve been to the vets and gotten great care. It's growing back. And my fomom tells me I am handsome just the way I am. She has loved us so much and helped us heal in more ways than 1.
Now a little bit about my sister, Cindy Lou. She's extremely affectionate! She loves to be held and kissed. She loves all the attention!
She's the louder one of our family, and she will definitely let you know if somebody is at the door.
She is potty trained and puppy pad trained. She loves to go for car rides and stick her head out the window and feel the air on her face.
As far as other dogs are concerned, I like them! omom says tho just probably not real small ones, cause of my big feet and lack of attention, she thinks I could possibly accidentally hurt them. Not on purpose of course. But I would love to have one that could play with me that's about my size! Then Cindy Lou could sit on the couch and watch TV while me and my new brother or sister play. I don't play for a long time as I'm still learning and I get tired really fast, but I will try to keep up. I have found that I love toys!
Cindy Lou… well she is simply exceptional! And listen just because she's a tripod… don't let that fool you! 3 legs doesn’t keep this good girl down!
Cindy is a small girl. I’m mediumish about 50-55lbs.
Now Run! Don’t walk to our application, and get that thing filled out. We know you will love us, if you give yourself the opportunity.

Thanks!
Woofs you!
Tucker

Animal control reached out to us for help with Daisy. She was emaciated and had something going on with her stomach. We pulled her into the rescue and sent her to our vet! She was one sickly girl. Lots of TLC from her foster mom, lots of rest, and lots of prayers later she is doing so much better. Daisy is still not totally over all the health concerns and issues she has. But she is definitely not where she was.
Daisy is 8 years old, dog friend, loves people. Daisy is such a sweet girl .
If interested in Daisy, please get your foster to adopt app in here: https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/foster/RMWV/Dog. Please note on app: Daisy

These cute couple was at Animal Control dealing with a bad skin issue and other medical conditions. We pulled them into rescue and got them to out vet asap. They are both approx years old and are bonded. Buster would prefer to nap most of the day, Sophie likes to supervise all activities. They are a fun couple!
They will be recovering and recouping and hopefully their skin with be healing up some over the next several weeks.

We are accepting applications on Handsome Henry.
Here is what his foster has to say:
“Henry is doing so well! He has come a long way in terms of being a family dog. He is used to a house and all the things that come with it, although the vacuum does still scare him. He is 4 yrs old and 47 lbs.
He loves his routine and follows it to a T now without me having to give any direction. I'm so proud of him!
He knows to be "calm" before leaving crate time, we have been working on off leash recall with excellent success. He has has mastered "come" and bath time too. While he is completely crate trained, he is still working on house training, but has made significant night-and-day level progress.
He is almost done with his heartworm treatment rest period, and he really shows it. He is full of energy and ready for a regular exercise routine again.
He loves his people and just wants to be with you. He is excellent with kids of all ages as our household has ages 1 - 14. However, he does have extremely mild resource guarding around food/treats, which has been well managed with proper training and monitoring. This is very important to keep up on, so it doesn’t become an issue.
His size does cause the occasional bump/fall of a small child if he is nervous.
Henry is always smiling and wagging his tail. He has learned to love people and went from barely allowing me to touch him, to now letting NEW people love on him! He is doing great!”

Welcome Luna to the RMWV Crew!
We were able to pull this girl from Animal Control. A RMWV foster family stopped by the adoption event we had there on Saturday and met some of the dogs. They stepped up to foster Luna.
She will be decompressing, getting to our vet, and her fosters will be learning more about her over the next several weeks. She will be looking for a foster-to-adopt home soon.
Welcome to the start of your new life Luna!
It’s gonna be a good one.. we promise.

Welcome Gracie to the RMWV Crew.
We pulled this sweet girl several days ago from Animal Control. She was there after being seized.
This girl is so sweet. She has been good with dogs, cats, and kids.
It’s very obvious that Gracie has been bred a lot in her past, but she will never have another litter again. We started her vetting on Friday and got her spayed too.
Gracie is in a temp foster home. We are looking for a foster to adopt family for her. That is one who will foster her for a trial period, but interested in adopting once she is ready.

Boarman is ready for a furever family. He is healed from his ear amputation, has settled into the comforts of a home, and has become just the sweetest boy. His foster family has done an amazing job!
Mr. Borman (Boar-Boar, wiggle butt, big head) has come such a long way! When he first arrived he was missing an ear, a small piece of his tongue and scars on his neck and legs. He was food and toy protective. I doubt he had ever been inside a house because he was scared of stairs. Such a hard life he endured but is safe, happy and loved now!
Today he is the sweetest, most kissing, toy playing, affectionate lap dog you will ever meet and boy can he eat! If you need personal space.. he is not your dog. Even the bathroom is not off limits. He loves everyone he meets and adores his foster pack which consists of two older dogs (one male & one female) as well as a male puppy. He tolerates our moody cat mainly so he can eat her cat food.
Boarman would thrive in a home with pets and a human that is home more often than not. If he is bored he gets creative. Plenty of exercise and play time with toys helps! He does not like the crate and can, will, and has escaped. He loves sleeping on the bed or couch or anywhere his foster pack is. He does ok on a leash. He pulls mainly because he is so excited to see new things and meet people. He travels well in a vehicle and has been on vacation with his foster family.
If your heart is a big as Borman you will love him as much as we do!
Boarman is 60 lbs, 2-3 years old and fully vetted.
If he sounds like the boy for you, get your app in here: https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/foster/RMWV/Dog. And note on app: Boarman.
